They were married in the Washington DC Temple on December 20, 1974, the week it opened. High and High School with Shelley, and loved their whole family. We spent many choir and Madrigal trips together! I loved her laugh and her beautiful voice. I was so very sad to hear of her passing. Shelley attended Ricks College in Rexburg for two years where she met the love of her life, Bradley Cecil Nelson.

They were married in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on February 11, 1983, and were blessed with 39 years of happy marriage. Dennis was a pillar in our community! His great work with the King Fine Arts Center and Mt. Harrison Foundation has had such a favorable impact here in Burley. Mariah Jo is the daughter of Jeff and Amy Rasmussen. She graduated from Burley High School and has been doing school online through Brigham Young University-Idaho. After she finishes her undergraduate, she plans to pursue mortuary science in the footsteps of her father. In 2005, Ben chose to obtain his insurance license and since that time as been actively involved in working as a pre-need specialist in the funeral industry.

Saturday, December 10, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Burley Stake Center, located at 2050 Normal Ave., in Burley. He loved spending time with his family whether it was on the ski slopes, the softball field, white water rafting, playing a round of golf, or simply being together. He and Barbara established the tradition of a family reunion every single year.

His family moved to Boise where he graduated from Borah High School. Dennis served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in North Argentina. He later attended airborne school in Georgia, where he met the love of his life, Ursula Maria Froisland.
I'd give them a negative 5 stars if I could. This is the fee for the services the funeral home will provide during a visitation or viewing. Our hearts and our prayers are with you. I’m so saddened to hear of Shelley’s passing. Years ago, we created a dinner group together where we cooked dinner for each other one night a week. This lasted a few months before life got crazy and we stopped, but I will never forget the meal she cooked for my family on my birthday. We ate at Storybook Park all together.
So very saddened to hear of the passing of Dennis. We served together in the Spanish branch many years ago. He was so very kind in helping me learn my assignments. Both Dennis father and my father were such good friends many years ago.
Some families will choose to have a simple graveside service. Since the service is held outdoors, most people will be standing during the service. — My parents were both taken care of by Rasmussen Funeral home. Very professional and great to work with both times. They go beyond to help one put together a service. I was tottally devastated over the loss of my husband and between Jeff Rasmussen and his wife and my two daughters everything was taken care of perfectly.
She made me feel so special and loved! I’m praying that her family may feel peace and comfort at this most difficult time. I met a new friend on Sunday in Cornish, Maine and as we were talking we found we had a common friend in Shelley. We shared some fond memories and I especially remember Shelley's frequent and beautiful smile.
He was the first and only to use this system, turning his pages with a foot pedal. His character in "Chaps" wore a dress and he was a great sport about it. Dennis could laugh and not take himself too seriously on stage. So grateful for the many contributions Dennis made to the community and to our lives, personally. Love and condolences to the entire Byington family. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Delmer “Bing” and Georgia Belle Wheeler Byington.
